Cooperative week
The office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies and the Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd., Shillong in collaboration with all the State Level Cooperative Federations will celebrate the 65th All India Cooperative Week from November 14 to 20. East Khasi Hills will celebrate the Cooperation week on Wednesday, Jaintia Hills on Thursday, Ri Bhoi will celebrate on Friday, South Garo Hills and West Garo Hills on November 19 and East Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills will celebrate on November 20.

Rice released 
The DC (Supply), West Garo Hills, Tura has informed that PHH and AAY rice for the beneficiaries for the month of November, in urban and rural based fair price shop dealers have been released.

Notification
The State Government has renamed the Sericulture & Weaving Department as the Department of Textiles, Government of Meghalaya with immediate effect. Henceforth, all communications/correspondences etc. shall be addressed accordingly. This was informed by the Secretary, Department of Textiles.

Skill devp
Inauguration of one-month skill development programme on ‘Good Cultivation practices and post-harvest processing of some important Horticultural crops of Meghalaya’ will be jointly organised by the Biotech Park, Lucknow and the Directorate of Horticulture and Advances Level Institutional Biotech Hub, Lady Keane College under the sponsorship of the Institute of Bio-resources and Sustainable development, Imphal at Lady Keane College on Thursday.

General meet
The Synjuk War Wahlong will hold a general meeting of Synjuk War Wahlong at Dorbar Hall Mission Compound at 11 am November 24. The youth from the Synjuk will be felicitated.

Office bearers
The District Congress Committee (DCC) on Tuesday held a general meeting at Resubelpara and reshuffled its office bearer for DCC, District Mahila and youth Congress.
