SHILLONG: The newly floated People’s Democratic Front (PDF) is prepared to contest the upcoming council election in Meghalaya and is planning to field candidates in all the 29 constituencies under the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).
Talking to media persons here recently, Cabinet Minister and PDF MLA Hamlet Dohling said the party is receiving applications from many candidates and the central executive committee of the party “will take a final call on who should be allotted ticket”.
Reacting to a query about the allegations made by a former minister and Congress’s probable candidate for council election that Dohling was spreading lies on the issue of building bylaws, he said people in Mylliem know who is lying.
“He was in the government for 5-6 years and I am in the government for 7-8 months and people know who is lying,” he added.
Earlier, former minister Ronnie V Lyngdoh had accused Dohling of misleading people on building bylaws.
