Two unclaimed bodies at Shillong Civil Hospital

SHILLONG: Bodies of two middle-aged men are lying unclaimed at Shillong Civil Hospital, said the joint director of Health Services at the hospital.
A 40-year-old man, who was admitted on Thursday, passed away the next day and none has come to claim his body.
Also, a 45-year-old man identified as Sunil Thapa was admitted on November 12 and he died at 9 pm on November 27. The hospital informed that his sister Madu Thapa’s address is mentioned as Demseiniong.
The joint director, in a statement, urged relatives to take the bodies from the hospital morgue within three days failing which the corpses will be sent to the Shillong Municipal Board for disposal.
