SHILLONG: Supporters of KHNAM candidate Thomas Passah, have vowed to extend their support to him in 2019 Council elections amid leadership issues in the party.
Passah is the vice president and youth wing president of the regional party. Following the bickering in the party over leadership issues, Passah convened a meeting with his supporters at Dorbar Hall Lumkshaid. Speakers at the meeting have expressed concern over the current problems in the party.
“There has been attempts to bring both groups to mutual understanding but the knots are getting harder to untie with every passing day,” Passah said.
Passah has urged the people to be patient and to move forward with a clear mind.
The supporters of Passah have asked him to go ahead even if he has to contest as an independent.
