Church leaders apprise ministers of road, water woes at Nongjri

SHILLONG: The Presbyterian Church leaders of Nongjri led by UDP MLA Ranikor, Pius Marwein, met the PWD (Roads) Minister, Prestone Tynsong, to apprise him of the bad roads as the church is preparing for the KJP Assembly scheduled for April, 2019.
In a meeting with Tynsong on December 5, they said the Nongjri – Tlongpleng -Laitumsaw road falling under East Khasi Hills and the one from Ranikor till Borsora in South West Khasi Hills, were in a bad state.
The minister assured the delegation that the needful will be done before the KJP Assembly starts.
The following day, the MLA along with the same delegation, met the PHE Minister Samlin Malngiang to discuss preparations for the Church Assembly and told him about the shortage of water in Nongjri village.
Malngiang also assured the delegation to look into the matter before the grand Church Assembly starts.
