District level declamation contest held in city

Shillong: A district-level declamation contest organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, East Khasi Hills was held at Youth Hostel on Thursday.
Participants dwelled on the need to be patriotic. One contestant from each block of the district participated.
It was aimed to ensure youth participation in nation building. Donboklang Marboh from Mawryngkneng block won first prize and he was selected for the state declamation contest to be held on December 18.
Sanghita Datta from Laitumkhrah won second prize and Mebanteiskhem Ryntathiang from Mawsynram won the third prize respectively.
