City football teams to represent East Zone 1 in national c’ship

SHILLONG: The Shillong College Higher Secondary and College boys football teams representing East Zone I in the National Championships of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports Football after topping Group A comprising Lucknow ,Goa and Chennai besides Shillong has advanced forward. In Thursday’s match where , they defeated City College of Commerce and Business from Kolkata by 5 goals to 1 and the Shillong team has secured itself a place in the semi-finals to be played at the Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai on Friday. The hat trick in the match was scored by Teimiki Passah while Iohborlang Nonglyer and Teibanskhem Khongkai scored a goal each. The man of the match award was also lifted by Robert Khongjoh.
