NONGSTOIN: The decision to issue disability certificates to Persons with Disabilities in the district from Shillong Civil Hospital has annoyed Nongstoin MLA Macmillan Byrsat.
Talking to the media, Byrsat said on Tuesday that he was concerned because it was shifted from Nongstoin Civil Hospital as parents have to travel to Shillong for the certificate.
Byrsat also stressed that one must understand that Persons with Disabilities have to be treated with special care and “it is not an easy task”. The MLA requested the Director of Health Services to take necessary steps to ensure that disability certificates are issued from Nongstoin Civil Hospital as earlier.
