Maheshwari may be SC judge

SHILLONG: The former Meghalaya chief justice, Dinesh Maheshwari, is likely to become a Supreme Court judge.
The apex court collegium has recommended the names of Maheshwari, who is now the chief justice of Karnataka High Court, and Justice Sanjiv Khanna, a judge in the Delhi High Court, for judges in the highest court.
The Supreme Court is functioning with 26 judges against the sanctioned strength of 31.
