Pressure groups to meet on Jan 22 over bill

SHILLONG: The Confederation of Hynniewtrep Social Organisations (CoHSO) will hold a discussion on January 22 at Khasi National Dorbar Hall in Mawkhar before going ahead with ‘Dorbar Bah’, or peaceful rally.
In a statement issued here, general secretary of Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) writing on behalf of CoHSO, Roy Kupar Synrem said a united voice should emanate from the people against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.
In this connection, the CoHSO has urged various NGO leaders, political parties, traditional heads and many organisations in the Hynniewtrep land to participate in the discussion.
