The Under Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Programme Implementation & Evaluation Department has informed that the Draft Meghalaya Community Participation and Public Services Social Audit Rules 2018, has been uploaded in the Department’s website http://megpied.-gov.in. Comments and suggestions to the same has been invited from the general public by February 11.

Notice
The Electoral Registration Officer of 32-Nongstoin (ST), 33-Rambrai Jyrngam (ST) and 34-Mawshynrut (ST) Assembly Constituencies has informed that the list of amendment to the draft Electoral Roll for the three offices has been prepared with reference to January 1, 2019 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rule, 1960. A copy of the said roll together with the said list of amendments has been published and will be available for inspection at the office of the DC, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin.
Illegal liquor
The Excise staff of East Khasi Hills District conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in Shillong town and its outskirts wherein on December, 2018, the officials detected 24 cases with a seizure of 149.600 litres of i/d liquor and 62.170 litres IMFL. In this connection 20 persons were arrested under the Excise Act.
Rice, wholemeal atta released
The DC (Supply), East Khasi Hills District has informed that rice under NFSA, Non-NFSA and wholemeal atta for January, 2019, has been relea-sed through the respective fair price shops w.e.f January 25.
Office bearers
Rajasthan Bishram Bhawan, Shillong, held its general meeting on Sunday, where the organisation elected new office bearers. The eleven executive members elected are Anil Bajaj, Keshardeo Sharma, Krishna Kr. Sharma and others.
