Abduction
Nethen A Sangma lodged a complaint stating that his daughter Nemiasa Marak had been missing from their residence at Jarangkona, Purakhasia in West Garo Hills since January 5. It later transpired that she had been abducted by Waicheng a.k.a Titesh Marak.

Accident
On February 3 around 6 pm, one motorcycle (WB-20AX-0598) ridden by Krishna Singh collided with another motorcycle (ML-05L-2260) ridden by Eldistar Lyngdoh at Umsning by-pass road in Ri Bhoi. The motorcycle riders sustained injuries and were taken to CHC Umsning.
On February 2 around 11 am, Deblal Gour (23) fell while he was clearing the bushes near M/s SHG Ispat and Rolling Mills at 13th Mile, Byrnihat in Ri Bhoi. He was taken to Guwahati Medical College where the attending MO declared him brought dead.

Assault
Kishon Singh lodged a complaint stating that on January 30 around 8:15 pm, one person identified as ‘Choto’ along with two accomplices, assaulted him near Little Blossom School and fled with his wallet, ATM card, PAN card, Aadhaar card, Rs 500 cash and his mobile phone.

Body recovered
On February 4 around 7:30 am, the body of Arjun Pyngrope (53) was found lying in a stream in Nongrah. The cadaver has been sent for post-mortem examination.
On February 3 around 2 pm, the body of one fourteen- year-old girl was found hanging from a tree near her house at Kimdikgre village in South West Garo Hills.
Break-in
Between January 15 to February 1, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Paul Syiem in Lower Nongrim Hills and stole brass latches, handles and bolts from the ground floor of his residence.

Fraud
Deimaphishisha Diewkhaid, Corfilia Langstieh, Raj Lamin, Fillman Langstieh and Lari Rani, lodged a joint complaint stating that Lari Pale duped them out of Rs 4,04,500 by promising them jobs in DTO office and Home Guards since August 2018.

Theft
Pynshaiborlang Lyngdoh lodged a complaint stating that on February 1 around 12.49 pm, unknown miscreants stole his delivery bag containing Flipkart and Hopscotch shipments worth Rs 62,716 from a furniture shop in Umsohsun.

Truck detained
On February 4 around 5 am, police detected one coal laden truck (AS-01JG-6031), while it was attempting to evade a weighbridge at Shangbangla.

Vehicle stolen
Willing Sangma lodged a complaint stating that on February 1, his motorcycle (ML-08C-4773) was stolen from Zikzak Bazar in South West Garo Hills.
