Teachers’ union to meet Education authorities

SHILLONG: Khasi Jaintia Deficit School Teachers’ (KJDSTA) and Garo Hills Deficit School Teachers’ and Employees’ Association (GHDSTEA) will meet the Education authorities over pending issues of the teachers.
The two groups will meet the Director of School Education and Literacy (DSEL) on Tuesday to apprise the government on pending issues such as release of pending arrears of revised pay before the end of financial year 2018-19.
KJDSTA has reiterated its demand to implement the recommendations of Fifth Pay Commission, promotion of B Ed deficit teachers to the post of principal and vice principal besides other demands.
