Wind caution
The Deputy Commissioner & Chairperson District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong informed to all public to take extra care during this windy season to avoid any incidences especially fire and to get wiring/electricity properly checked. Ensure safe keeping of all objects such as lumber piles, loose tin sheets, loose bricks, garbage cans, sign boards, etc which can fly away in strong winds.

Office bearers
The Garoland State Movement Committee (GSMC) Damal Asim Unit have elected new office bearers. The advisor is Airam Ch Momin, Chairman Sonsing B Marak, General Secretary Greath B Marak. They also elected executive members among others.

Seer visit
Sri Sri Haridev Goswami, satradhikar or pontiff of Garamur Saru Satra of Majuli Island will visit Shillong. On February 21, the pontiff will visit Sri Sri Madhavdev Namghar, Dhankheti,Shillong in the evening and join the “Naam Prasanga”along with many Vaishnavite devotees of Shillong.
