TURA: The Gasuapara Regional Unit of the ADE has submitted a memorandum to GHADC CEM Dipul R Marak raising concern over the transportation of coal by non-tribals to neighboring Bangladesh without valid TNT licenses from the GHADC.

“It has been observed that a number of non-tribal coal exporters are transporting coal to the neighboring country without any valid documents from the GHADC. They should have obtained TNT from the council. How are they able to transport coal without it?” the association asked.

Stating that the illegal activity was causing huge revenue loss to the GHADC, the association urged the authority to personally look into the matter and take necessary measures to check it. The association also suggested that such non-tribal businessmen be directed to obtain NOC from local bodies and the Nokma concerned in future so that such incidents do not recur.
