Cycle rally on nutrition held in city

SHILLONG: A cycle rally was organised by the Social Welfare Department in collaboration with the Meghalaya Cycling Association (MCA) in the city on Thursday.
The rally was held as part of the Poshan Abhiyan celebrations with an aim to spread awareness on proper nutrition.
Social Welfare Department, LM Momin who was present at the event said, “As the government is celebrating Poshan Pakhwada or nutrition month with an aim to fight against malnutrition, we are organising this rally to spread the message about the importance of proper nutrition.”
MCA vice president, Barnari Mawlong, informed that the welfare society had collaborated with cyclists to celebrate nutrition month as cycling is also part of a healthy lifestyle.
