TURA: NPP candidate for Tura Lok Sabha seat and former Union minister Agatha K Sangma on Friday said development of the constituency would be her focus area.
“The focus has always obviously been development and I think in the last one year the state government under the leadership of Conrad Sangma has performed so well and people will appreciate that. I believe the mandate will reflect that appreciation,” said Agatha Sangma while speaking to media persons shortly after she filed her nomination papers here.
On a query on developmental issues for Tura constituency, Agatha said a lot of developmental works will be taken up and exuded confidence that since both the state government and the party she is representing are the same they can be taken up jointly for the benefit of the people.
“My late father worked hard for his people and I am very optimistic and believe in the people of Garo Hills,” a confident Agatha said.
