45 file nomination for first phase election in Assam

GUWAHATI: Total 45 persons from different political parties as well as  Independents have filed nomination papers for the first phase of Lok Sabha election in Assam.

The first phase election will be held on April 11 in Tezpur, Kaliabor, Jorhat,Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur parliamentary constituencies in Assam which has total 14 seats.

The details of the cadidates filing nominations for the first phase are as follow:

9 – Tezpur

  1. Mahendra Orang – Voters’ Party International (VPI),
  2. Mahendra Bhuyan – Nationalist Congress Party (NCP),
  3. MGVK Bhanu – Indian National Congress (INC),
  4. Iqbal Ansari – Independent
  5. Ranvijay Kumar Rai – Bahujan Mukti Party (BMP),
  6. Bijoy Kumar Tiru – Adivasi National Party of Assam (ANPA),
  7. Ram Bahadur Sonar – National People’s Party (NPP),
  8. Pallab Lochan Das – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)
  9. Krishna Hari Paul – All India Hindustan Congress Party
  10. Ziabur Rahman Khan – Independent candidate

 

11 – Kaliabor

  1. Monimadhab Mahanta – AGP
  2. Abdul Aziz – NPP
  3. Diganta Kumar Saikia – Hindustan Nirman Dal
  4. Harikul Islam Bhuyan – Asom Jana Marcha
  5. Jiten Gogoi – Independent.
  6. Bhaskar Sarma – Independent Gaurav Gogoi – INC
