TURA: Police here arrested a middle aged man on Wednesday on allegations of molesting a minor girl of town after a case was filed on the matter by the parents of the victim.
The incident, according to police occurred at about 9 am this morning, Mar 27, after which the parents went to complain against the accused. The accused was arrested immediately after the FIR at the Tura Women PS.
“He lured the victim on the promise of giving her sweets in his house after which he molested the victim. The girl has been taken for a medical and due procedures for arrest have been followed. The culprit is about 50 years old,” stated the superintendent of police, West Garo Hills, Dr MGR Kumar.
