TURA: The district election and returning officers for Tura parliamentary constituency has directed mobile service providers to ensure uninterrupted service.
Ram Singh held a meeting with service providers on Tuesday after complaints of poor connectivity in the town.
Singh said there should be uninterrupted services, especially during election, in Garo Hills and services need to be intensified from April 6-12 to facilitate smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha polls and Selsella by-poll.
The deputy commissioner asked the service providers that all mobile towers and other ancillary services should function without ceasing and must arrange extra manpower for mobile tower operation in the region.
He added that the providers have to submit an action plan and assurance to the deputy commissioner by April 5.
