3 killed, 1 hurt in fire incident in Shillong

SHILLONG: Three persons were charred to death while one was injured in a major fire incident at Lummarboh, Nongrah area on early Saturday morning.

The SP (City), Steve Rynjah said that the incident happened  at around 3-3.30 am in the morning when three boys were sleeping in a rented room which was a vehicle garage

The two-room house was completely gutted in the incident

Though police is yet to get a final report but the spot inquiry indicates that the people who were sleeping in the room kept the room heater open whole night and the fire started from the heater.

The three people who died have been identified as  Register Kurbah,  Pynhunlang Lyngdoh and Wankordor  Warjri. The fourth person who is injured in the incident have been identified as Wikistar Khyriem
