TURA:  Dozens of poll volunteers consisting mostly of National Service Scheme volunteers from Don Bosco College, Tura government college, Durama College and ICFAI university along with scouts and guide movement members have joined the ongoing election process and will assist voters on polling day.

This is the first time poll volunteers are being deployed to help and assist the voters.

Flagging off the poll volunteers rally from Don Bosco College to Chandmari locality junction of tura on Tuesday, Principal Fr. Bivan congratulated the students for their willingness to be poll volunteers. He asked them to render assistance especially to the sick and the elderly. He also reminded the volunteers to only help the voters and not to canvass.

“You should not ask anyone to vote for a particular party or candidate,” he advised.
