Rupam Sharma’s film shines at Riverside International Film Festival

GUWAHATI: US-based Assamese filmmaker Rupam Sharma has won the ‘Best Film for Inspiration Award’ at the Riverside International Film Festival held in Los Angeles for his movie ‘One Little Finger’.
Rupam has directed and produced the movie that has been made with 80 persons with disabilities.
The movie based on real-life stories was shot in picturesque locations of Assam at Jorhat, Sivasagar, Guwahati. Other filmmimg locations include Kolkata, South India, Mumbai, and the United States. It may be mentioned filmmaker Rupam Sharma hails from Jorhat in Assam.
The film soundtracks include songs in various genres and languages – Assamese, English, Bengali, Hindi including Bihu, Borgeet, Rabindra Sangeet, Baul Geet, Satriya. The film is depicting music therapy as magic for persons with disabilities.
In India, the film is scheduled to be released in September this year.
