Cong moves ECI on West Tripura repoll

GUWAHATI: A delegation of All India Congress Committee (AICC) and Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee met the Election Commission of India in New Delhi on Monday. 
The delegation submitted an account of political atrocities and vitiation of the Lok Sabha election process in West Tripura parliamentary constituency on April 11, a statement issued by party said.
The Congress delegation demanded to declare countermanding of Lok Sabha polls in West Tripura constituency and hold fresh elections immediately for upholding democracy and the spirit of Indian free, fair and peaceful electoral process.
The delegation comprised Tripura PCC president Pradyot Kishore Debburman, Jairam Ramesh, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, PCC vice president Pijush Kanti Biswas and Congress Lok Sabha candidate (West Tripura) Subal Bhowmik.
