KSU organises 2nd Meghalaya freshers’ meet in Bangalore

SHILLONG: The Bangalore Unit of Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) organised the 2nd Meghalaya freshers’ meet-cum-cultural programme at the JSS Campus of the Indian Institute of Nursing in Bangalore on Sunday.
In a statement issued here, the president of the KSU Bangalore Unit, Rymphang Nongsiej said that the programme witnessed the participation of students studying in Karnataka.
General secretary of the KSU central executive council (CEC), Donald Thabah attended the programme as the chief guest in the presence of the organising secretary of the KSU CEC, Biangbor Lyngdoh Paliar.
Other notable guests included the president of KSU NEHU unit, Pynkmenlang Sanmiet, president of KSU Bangalore Unit, Rymphang Nongsiej, general secretary of KSU Bangalore Unit, Emosjohn Nongsiej and Elizabeth Nongbri.
The speakers urged the students studying in Bangalore to remain united and to assist each other in times of need.
The programme also felicitated Bamelari Lyngdoh, a Gold Medallist in Master of Social Work (specialised in Medical & Psychiatric Social Work) from Alva College Moodbidri, Mangalore University and Iada Martin Marbaniang, a Khasi IPS officer stationed in Karnataka.
