Bengali New Year

Geetali, a socio-cultural organisation based in Laban, will organise the ‘Barsho Baron’ Utsav (Bengali New Year) on May 4 at the Assam Club in Laban. Artists from Silchar namely Moushomi Paul Choudhury and Samarjit Dey from Shillong will be performing on the occasion with members of Geetali and others.

Intl Dance Day

Gitanjali Dance Academy will be celebrating International Dance Day at the St.  Edmunds College auditorium in the city on Monday. The programme will begin at 12:45pm and will emphasize on Karima Mansour’s message for the 2019 International Dance Day of using dance to go “beyond borders, beyond identity crisis, beyond nationalism and beyond frames”.
