Theft
Rajesh Kumar Gupta lodged a complaint that on May 2 between 9 am to 10 am, public apprehended two persons identified as Sanjib Sunar (25) and Shyam Sunar after they stole a tyre from the vehicle (ML-05D-7666) of the complainant, parked near Jail road Petrol Pump in Shillong.
On May 1, Chanang A Sangma (20) of Jondonggre Resu (North Garo Hills) was arrested in connection with theft case.
Pintu Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on April 30 night, miscreants broke into his shop at Khliehriat Bazar (West Jaintia Hills) and stole Rs. 32,000 cash and goods total valued around Rs. 63,000.
Basona Das lodged a complaint that on the night of April 23, two persons viz., Ali Sheik and Sahjahan Ali were caught red handed by the villagers after they broke into a house of the complaint at Haribanga (West Garo Hills) during her absence and stole Rs. 58,000 cash and gold ornaments.
On April 14, miscreants broke into a house belonging to Shankar Pandey at Upper Kench’s Trace, Bishnupur in Shillong and stole cash amounting to Rs. 11,000.

Woman attacked by group of men
Bina Devi lodged a complaint that on May 1 around 10 pm, Ganesh Roy and his friends assaulted the complainant at Punjabi Lane, Iewduh in Shillong causing injuries to her. Victim was removed to Civil Hospital.
Man assaults wife
A complaint was lodged that on April 28, a twenty-seven-year old woman was assaulted by her husband identified as Paising Hujon in her residence at Nongthymmai Maroid village (West Khasi Hills) and also threatened her with dire consequences. As a result, victim sustained grievous injuries and was admitted at Ganesh Das Hospital, Shillong for treatment.

Ganja
Spalan Lyngdoh (50), president, Synjuk ki Rangbah Shnong, Rangblang Area (West Khasi Hills) lodged a complaint that on April 29 around 6 pm, unclaimed ganja weighing around 9 kg was recovered from Rangblang-Pambriew Forest Area (South West Khasi Hills).

Robbery
Chatdro N Arengh lodged a complaint that on April 28 around 6.45 pm, while three persons namely, Silseng N Arengh (18), Rahul K Sangma (18) and Tengchuang N Arengh were proceeding in a motorcycle (ML-07A-7581) from Kolaipara towards Kalwe village and on reaching at Rasnadare (North Garo Hills), four masked miscreants stop their motorcycle and demanded Rs. 5,000 from them. The miscreants released them after they handed over the money.

Reckless driving
John Leslee K Sangma lodged a complaint that on April 11 around 12.55 pm, while he was proceeding from Tura (West Garo Hills) to Shillong and on reaching near Tura NEHU campus, a Police team on pilot duty in Gypsy (ML-02-0219) and a Ford Endeavour (ML-05R-9896) endangered the life of the commuters as they drove recklessly. They also threatened the complainant with gestures.
