Cattle seized at IB

JOWAI: West Jaintia Hills SP has informed that BSF personnel of Dawki and Muktapur BOP have seized 301 heads of cattle from the international border falling under Dawki police station jurisdiction.
The BSF personnel from Nongkhen Border Outpost seized two heads of cattle around 2:30 am on April 21 while conducting patrolling along the border.
The BSF informed that the cattle were meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh by miscreants who managed to escape taking advantage of the thick forest and darkness.
Police have requested the owners or anyone who have any information of the owner or culprit or anyone whose oxen were stolen or missing to approach Dawki police station.
