Ferrando domestic workers meet held

TURA: Members of the Ferrando Domestic Workers Alliance of Tura observed the ‘Domestic Workers Meet’ from the 10th to the 15th of this month to give awareness about domestic workers rights  with a programme that included leaflet distribution, poster campaign and street plays.

The International domestic Workers Day was observed on Saturday to honour the domestic workers who are unseen, unheard and unnoticed by the public despite their immense contribution to the nation and their families economies.

State youth working president of Meghalaya NPP Dabo M Marak, labour Inspector of Tura Ms Juenti Hajong and Silte Betsy M Sangma, stakeholders, other dignitaries and domestic workers attended the special programme.
