Training on 7th Economic census held

WILLIAMNAGAR: A one-day district level training workshop-cum-training was held recently in East Garo Hills. Economic census was held by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation in collaboration with the Common Services Centre (CSC) of the e-Governance Services, Limited at DRDA Hall in Williamnagar on Friday.
Inaugurating the training programme and delivering the key-note address, East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Swapnil Tembe said that the economic census operation is a process of data collection and analysis for economic activities to provide integrated information on various operational and structural aspects of all establishments in the country and also to identify the villages for inclusion in the policy making.
