ATM, banking services on wheels

SHILLONG: Chief Secretary PS Thangkhiew on Monday inaugurated three mobile vans having ATM units, audio visual display of the Meghalaya Rural Bank, for propagating various schemes.
The vans also have the space for carrying staff and to extent banking services to out flung areas.
Chairman of the bank, Dilip Kumar Guha informed that NABARD has been guising and providing financial assistance to acquire three mobile banking vans.
The mobile banking vans will be deployed in Shillong, Jowai and Nongstoin to look after the banking needs of these areas.
