Local holidays
The Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District has declared July 12 and July 22 as local holidays in the district on account of Behdienkhlam festival at Jowai and Tuber respectively. All state government offices, revenue and magisterial courts and educational institutions shall remain closed on the above mentioned days.

The general body meeting for new Asthaprahar Kirtan Utsav Committee will be held at Gour Nitai Sangha Office Laban from 5 pm on Tuesday.
General meet
The annual general meeting of the Customs and GST Pensioners’ Association, Shillong, will be held at the conference hall of Custom House, Shillong at 4 pm on July 5. All retired officers and employees are requested to attend.

The Seiñ Kur Dkhar Jaintia Hills, Wapung circle will hold the general meeting at Community Hall (Iing Dorbar), Wapungshnong, East Jaintia Hills at 11 am on July 6 to elect new members to the executive committee. The Seiñ Kur has urged Dkhar clans under the Seiñ Kur Dkhar Jaintia Hills, Wapung Circle to attend meeting.
