Indo-Bangladesh stakeholders meet put off because of flood

GUWAHATI: Indo-Bangladesh stakeholders meet has been postponed indefinitely in view of the prevailing flood situation in Assam.

The Government of Assam on Tuesday informed that “In view of the devastating floods in Assam, the Chief Minister has been constrained to consider postponing the Indo-Bangladesh Stakeholders’ Meet that was scheduled to be held in Guwahati on the 19th and 20th July, 2019, to a more feasible time – most likely around October–November this year. The rescheduled dates shall be communicated as soon as they are finalized.”
