SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Talent Search Organization will start the auditions for Meghalaya’s Got Talent (MGT) Season 4 from August 6.
During the auditions, the members of the organisation will go to different places of Khasi and Jaintia for talent hunt, president M.S Pynrope said at a press conference on Friday.
Initiated in 2015, MGT is a platform for the youth to showcase their talents, Pynrope said.
On the other hand, advisor Sanat Basaiawmoit expressed concern that often talented youth from the state are exploited by organizations and TV channels, adding that there are certain organisations who invite the youth to participate in their programmes but unfortunately, they do not pay them.
‘The Meghalaya Talent Search Organization not only creates an avenue for the talented youth but they are also taught on how to survive in the entertainment world which is ridden with exploitation’, Basaiawmoit said.
The grand finale will be held on December 14. The registration fee is Rs 100 and Rs 200 for solo and duet/group respectively, the organisation informed.
