Foundation Day
The NPP celebrated its Foundation Day on Monday at several locations including district headquarters. The flag hoisting ceremony at NPP Shillong headquarters was unfurled by the NPP working president, Don Kupar War in the presence of other leaders of the party.
Award
The DC, East Khasi Hills District has informed that Yashwantra Chavan Pratisthan, Mumbai had instituted an Award designed ‘Yashwantrao Chavan National Award, 2019’ to individuals/institutions in recognition of their outstanding contribution to national integration, democratic values as well as social and economic development. Programme
The Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics (CN&D), St. Mary’s College, Shillong, is celebrating the National Nutrition Week, in this regard, there will be an Inter-Departmental competition on the theme ‘Fun with Fruits’ on Tuesday. In continuation, the Department will also organise a Nutrition and Health Education Out-reach programme in St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School on Friday.
Cultural evening
Geetali – A Socio Cultural Organisation will organise a cultural evening (Madhumoy Ganer Mahamoy Sandhya) as part of Silver Jubilee at U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong from 4:30 pm onwards on September 8. Artistes like Pritom Roy, Ankita Bhattacharjee and Shubo Das of Bangladesh, Babuya Da and others will perform in the programme.
