Police probe into group fight among students

SHILLONG: Shillong police has decided to look into a recent incident of a group fight between the students of few schools in the city.
As per reports, an incident had taken place at St Edmund’s School premises where a fight between two groups took place which was stopped by the principal.
On queries by the principal, it transpired that the members claimed to be members of an Instagram page known as ‘808 Squad (Gangstar)’.
The page was followed by 70 to 80 members which comprised of students from St Edmund’s, St Anthonys, St Margaret, Kiddies Corner and others between the age group of 13 to 16.
The principals of St Anthony’s and St Edmund’s have informed that they will be holding a meeting with those students and parents who are members of this group.
