Shullai pushes for tribal tourism

SHILLONG: South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai has urged the Union Home Minister Amit Shah for early approval of a proposal submitted by the state government for development of tribal tourism at Polo Orchid, Shillong.
Shullai, in a letter to Shah, said that the proposal is aimed at generating employment among the tribal folks through development of tourism.
It may be mentioned that the state government recently submitted the proposal to the Ministry of Tribal Affairs with an estimated budget of Rs 21.69 crores for the project.
