State referees attain Cat-2 level

Shillong: Two referees from the state Kulishon Shyrkon and Lightstar Kharduit – have passed the practical and viva-voce sections of the exams to become Cat-2 level referees. This was confirmed by the All India Football Federation recently. Shyrkon and Kharduit had passed the physical and written exams a few months earlier.An individual needs around four years of officiating experience to make it to the national level as Cat-2 referee. The exam was held recently at the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
