Air Fest to feature Su-30

Shillong: The Eastern Air Command will organise Air Fest-2019 to commemorate its Diamond Jubilee on October 19 at the Advance Landing Ground (ALG) in Upper Shillong.
The event will be open to the general public.
The festival will commence with an aerial display of the Su-30 MKI multi-role fighter aircraft, Dornier transport aircraft, Sarang Air display team  and Mi-17 helicopters.
Slithering and demonstrations of ‘small troop incursion & evacuation’ (STIE) by Garud Commanados will also be part of the programme.
It may be mentioned that it will be the first time that the Sarang Helicopter Display Team comprising of Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) will carry out an aerial display in the state.
The fest is an endeavour to showcase to the people the history, glory, spirit of adventure and challenging opportunities in the IAF.
