AR DG meets Army chief

SHILLONG: The Director General of Assam Rifles, Lieutenant General Sukhdeep Sangwan, called on the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Bipin Rawat, recently and discussed about the issue of dual command and control of Assam Rifles.
After the discussion, Sangwan presented copies of a souvenir showcasing Assam Rifles’ activities in the current year and a copy of seminar papers on ‘North East as Gateway to South East Asia’ conducted by it earlier this year.
A copy of the recently released quarterly journal ‘Jaankari’ was also presented to the COAS.
