Police to issue stickers for vehicles

SHILLONG: The Shillong Traffic Police (STP) on Friday informed that it will introduce a sticker system with allotted numbers to all LMV commercial goods carriers in East Khasi Hills from November 4 to December 13.
In a statement issued here, the SP (Traffic) informed that a fine of Rs 500 will be charged after the due date is over.
Originals and photocopies of registration certificate, permit, insurance certificate, fitness certificate, trading license for non-tribal owners, professional tax, goods tax, pollution certificate, copy of EPIC/AADHAR card of the receiver of the sticker (owners/representatives) must be produced at the time of issuing of the sticker, the statement said.
Stickers will be issued from the office of the SP (Traffic) on production of valid documents. And it should be pasted on the left side of the front windshield, the statement added.
