SHILLONG: Pyniaid Sing Syiem, Deputy CEM, Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) inaugurated the 1st Meghalaya State Level Muay Thai & Pro-Fight Championship 2019 at the Mawlai Mawroh Community Hall on Friday along with the Executive Memeber of KHADC and MDC Mawlai, Teibor Pathaw.
Angelus Sun, founding member and president of Muay Thai Association of Meghalaya (MTAM) and Vice President United Amateur Muay Thai Association of India (UAMAI) as well as IFMA International referee and judge was also present during the inauguration of the championship.
More than 130 participants from Ri-Bhoi, East Khasi Hills and West Khasi Hills have participated in the championship. The tournament was conducted by 14 referees/judges headed by Angelus Sun as chief jury.
Sports Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh will close the championship as chief guest along with other distinguished guests.
