SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Other Backward Classes Association submitted a letter to the Chief Secretary and sought his intervention to issue OBC certificates.
The association said that OBC groups have been pressuring them to finalise on the issue at the earliest and that a delay in this regard may lead to legal complications.
It may be mentioned that the association had urged Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to ensure that OBC certificates are once again issued and that OBCs are not deprived of their constitutional and legal rights along with their privileges.
