NEHU holds food festival

SHILLONG: The North-Eastern Hill University Non-Teaching Staff Association (NEHUNSA) on friday organised the ‘NEHU Food Festival 2019’.
The president of the association inaugurated the event and said that employees and students should sometimes take a break from their daily routines and socialise in order to understand one another better.
Henry Lamin, pro-vice chancellor, NEHU, also attended the event along with JN Nayak, registrar, NEHU, and Debasish Chowdhury, controller of examinations, NEHU.
Lamin also stated that such events will help in creating awareness for indigenous local food from the region.
The festival was attended by a large number of students from various departments, teachers, children and employees of the university.
A number of game stalls were also set up.
