Abandoned coal trucks seized in WJH

SHILLONG: As many as eight abandoned coal trucks have been seized by the District Administration of West Jaintia Hills on a single day.
B Blah, , BDO, C&RD Block, Thadlaskein, West Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on November26 around 10.50 pm, acting on a tip off regarding illegal transportation of coal, she along with police personnel went to Khliehtyrshi-Mukhla areas in West Jaintia Hills and detected three abandoned coal laden trucks (ML-05S-0137, ML-10A-7307 & ML-10A-4439) parked on the roadside.
On the same day evening, police detected one abandoned 12-wheeler truck (AS-01-FC-9892) loaded with coal at Pasyih-Kyndongtuber area under Phramer Traffic Cell, West Jaintia Hills and police also detected one abandoned truck (AS-01-BC-3149) loaded with coal in the same area in West Jaintia Hills.
Later, police detected three abandoned coal laden trucks-, two 12-wheeler trucks (ML-04-9801 & AS-01-LC-4355) and one dumper truck (without registration plate) at Sahdaloi Phramer village under Phramer Traffic cell.
Last week, the police had seized as many as 95 abandoned coal trucks in East Jaintia Hills.
