FKJGP alleges nepotism in selection

SHILLONG: The Federation of Khasi Jaintia & Garo People (FKJGP), Garo Hills Zone, Tura alleged that they have received reports of nepotism and favouritism against the District Selection Committee (DSC), West Garo Hills with regard to selection of candidates in various posts in the district.
“We understand that candidates are under the perception that the same alleged cases may be repeated but the FKJGP believes that the DSC will be fair in selecting the candidates in the coming recruitment process,” the organisation said in a statement.
The FKJGP while expressing concern for the aspiring candidates/ applicants urged the selection committee to select the candidates on merit basis.
“We would like to propose to all the selection committees of respective districts in Garo Hills that video and audio recording be made while conducting the whole course of examination from written test till personal interviews,” it said.
