JOWAI: East Jaintia Hills-based pressure groups comprising of the KSU, JSM and JNC clarified that they have never demanded the transfer of EJH SP, Vivekanand Singh Rathore.
“The claim made by Meghalaya People’s United Front (MPUF) and the names of the three organisations which appeared in newspapers and in social media are misleading the people”, said KSU chief SS Niangti.
“We had not even signed the memorandum that was submitted to the Home Minister and we request the people of the district not to be misled by the news item which we never released to media persons,” he added.
The KSU, JSM and JNC even lauded the initiative measures taken up by the SP in curbing various criminal activities in the district.
