HNYF for ILP

Nongpoh: The Hynniewtrep National Youth Front, northern region on Saturday evening took to the streets of Nongpoh to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), and demanded the government at the Centre and the State to implement of Inner Line Permit at the earliest.
HNYF president Marcus Marten said that the people of the state and the North East will not sit idle until the Centre implements ILP. “We will fight till the end at any cost”, he said.
HNYF stressed on the need to implement ILP in the state as well as the other north eastern states failing which the entire region will burn, they said. ‘We will not be cowed down’ the president added. The protesters also shouted slogans against Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Tura MP Agatha Sangma and the BJP for suppressing the rights of the minority tribals of the NE by implementing the Act.
