SHILLONG: The closing ceremony of the 7th Meghalaya State Tennis Tournament, organized by the Meghalaya Tennis Association, was held on Saturday, at The Shillong Club.  Around 35 players from all over Meghalaya participated in the tournament. The closing ceremony was attended by Adelbert Nongrum MLA and Chiranjib Chaudhury, Secretary MSOA and the distinguished directors of the Shillong club.The winners and runner-up in various categories were: (Men’s Singles) Sanjeev Chettri 6-1 6-2 against Damon Shylla. (Men’s doubles) Sanjeev Chettri and Vishal Amarnani 6-3 6-4 against Stardiness Kharsyntiew and Pankaj Kapoor. (Under-16) Alvinroy Kharsohnoh 7-3 against Abanroy Kharsohnoh. (Under-16 Doubles) Ishan Rawat and Rakxit Bajaj 7-3 against Alvinroy Kharsohnoh and Abanroy Kharsohnoh.
