AR DG meets chief of army staff

SHILLONG: Lt General Sukhdeep Sangwan, DG, Assam Rifles, called on the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Bipin Rawat, in New Delhi and thanked him for the support rendered to Assam Rifles. Sangwan also apprised the chief of the security-related issues concerning North East besides other significant contributions made by the Assam Rifles in the region.
Post discussions, the DG presented the chief with the newly-published book titled, Winning the Lost Battle, based on Assam Rifles’ chivalrous contributions in the ‘Battle of Kohima’ during World War II.
